First-Year Students (or "freshmen")

First-time degree-seeking students (or "freshmen") are assigned academic advisors within the Academic Advising Center for at least their first semester. Below is a chart of each major and the Academic Advising Center advisor who specializes in that area. Students should always consult GullNet to find their specific advisor.

Please note: Students in majors other than International Business, IDIS, at Regional locations, and Undecided will be assigned a faculty member as their academic advisor after completing their first year of coursework.

Transfer and Upperclassmen

Transfer students and upperclassmen are advised by faculty mentors within their discipline. You can find your faculty mentor listed in your GullNet student center and can contact your ASC if you need help.

Advising Services Coordinators (or ASCs) are responsible for providing faculty mentors in each schools of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ with advising support. Students may be referred by their academic advisor or faculty mentor to the ASC for their school for help with specific issues.
