ABLE for Students

Please note that the Perdue School of Business reserves the right to decline or remove any employer or internship opportunity/posting that it determines is not in the best interest of our students.

Have you thought about a career in the nonprofit sector?

Many of our majors choose a nonprofit organization as a place to work after graduation. If so, you should know that you can become a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) while completing your business major at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. Combining business with the nonprofit certification program available at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ can be the right professional move for your future!

For more information, visit Nonprofit Leadership Alliance at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.

If you would like to do your ABLE experience with a nonprofit or government agency, consider reaching out to Sara Heim with ShoreCorps/AmeriCorps. ShoreCorps can help you find an agency if needed, and you can apply the 100 hour ABLE requirement toward their minimum-time level to receive an education award of $1,374.

For more information, visit ShoreCorps/AmeriCorps.

Internship Accommodations:

Students may request accommodations for an internship while attending ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. An internship accommodation may more closely resemble a job accommodation rather than an academic accommodation. Internship accommodations require advance planning and often involve a significant amount of interaction between the academic program, Disability Resource Center (DRC) and the student. If you will be participating in an internship experience, plan to discuss whether accommodations will be needed with the DRC as early as possible. At least one semester prior is best.
