Purpose
The NIA Mentoring Initiative is focused on increasing the success and retention of students of color within ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½SSW by providing a forum for exploring and sharing their unique college experiences. Furthermore, the initiative provides social support and promotes professional development among participants. The title NIA comes from the 5th principle of Kwanzaa which means Purpose. We focus our collective work on building and developing community and professionalism.
