Directors
Jennifer Brannock Cox (jbcox@salisbury.edu) is the director for the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Media Literacy Institute. She is an associate professor in the Communication Arts Department at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, teaching classes in multimedia journalism and mass communication. Her research includes studies and texts related to social media news messages, community, immersion and civic journalism.
Jeremy Cox (jgcox@salisbury.edu) is the co-director for the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Media Literacy Institute. He is a staff writer with the Chesapeake Bay Journal, covering environmental issues in the Mid- Atlantic. Cox has 20 years of professional journalism experience, at newspapers throughout Florida and Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He is also an adjunct instructor of journalism and media writing at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.
Aaron Wade Gurlly (awgurlly@salisbury.edu) is the co-director for the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Media Literacy Institute. He is an assistant professor of media production in the Communication Arts Department at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, teaching classes in mass media and in television/cinema production. His research focuses on identity, performance, and media representations of race, gender, and sexuality.
