Bio

Ryan Weaver is a Lecturer at the Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement and Interdisciplinary Studies at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ (ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, MD). Ryan directs the PACE Presidential Citizen Scholars Program in coordination with the Office of the President at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. Ryan works closely with the ShoreCorps/AmeriCorps Program and the Clarke Honors College at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ to promote civic service and nonprofit leadership regionally and nationally. Ryan grew up in the Red River Valley and relocated with his family to the Chesapeake Bay region where he has been a nonprofit leader and engaged citizen in his community for almost twenty years. Ryan holds a graduate degree in leadership from the University of Oklahoma. In addition to his teaching and civic work, Ryan is a storyteller, entrepreneur, and youth baseball coach. Ryan believes that Story is the most powerful pathway for understanding, motivation, and belonging in democracy.
