Requesting Tickets to be Voided
Parking citations will generally be administratively voided only if they were written in error. Failure to properly, clearly, and accurately display a permit (license plate) does not constitute an improperly written citation. If you contend that the citation was written in error, please request an appeal through the Parking Services Portal. Employees and students with active parking permits will be given consideration in voiding a citation .
Citations may only be appealed within 10 calendar days of the issuance of the citation and will need to be appealed through the Parking Services Portal through GullNet or the following link:
- .
Once on the Parking Portal, follow these steps:
- Log in with your ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ log-in information.
- Click on Login at the top right corner of the site and choose “ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Login”.
- Move to the Citations section.
- Enter the citation # and follow the prompts.
Appeals
Should a citation not be administratively voided as may be requested above, and should the parking citation recipient wish to contest it under any other circumstance, all appeals will be heard in the District Court of Maryland. To appeal a citation that Parking Services did not void as directed above, an email, requesting the citation to be heard in District Court, must be sent to Parking Services within 10 calendar days of receiving the appeal denial. The District Court is located in the Multi-Service Center at 201 Baptist Street in ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. The District Court of Maryland will notify you of a trial date. If the citation recipient be found guilty, the citation cost plus court costs will be required to be paid.
