Family Study Room
Taking Care of Caregivers and Their Families
The ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Libraries are pleased to offer our Family Study Room, a separate room set aside for use by current ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ students, faculty, and staff who want a comfortable place to work while caring for children and vulnerable adults. The room includes:
- Space for up to 2 families at once
- 3 computer stations
- Adult and child-sized furniture
- Children’s books, toys, easels and art supplies, puzzles, games, and more
- Sound reduction panels to limit concerns over disrupting others
The room is available to reserve by current ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ students, faculty, and staff any time the Library Service Desk is open. It can be reserved up to a maximum of four hours per day. Please note:
- Parents/guardians with a reservation must come to the Library Service Desk to borrow a specially programmed card that will give them access to the room during the reservation.
- The reservation confirmation and a valid ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Gull Card must be presented to enter the room.
- You must be accompanied by a child or vulnerable adult in order to access the space, and they must stay with you while you use it.
Please see our Family Study Room Policies page for more details.
Study Buddy Playtime Packs
We also have Study Buddy Playtime Packs with age-appropriate books and activities, available for children ages 0-12 who are accompanying their parents and caregivers while they work in the GAC. Parents and caregivers can come to the Library Service Desk to check one out.
