Discussion Spotlights New Latino Immigrants on Delmarva
Wednesday February 4, 2004
SALISBURY, MD---Latinos are the fastest growing population segment on the Delmarva Peninsula. Ana Aragones, a visiting professor from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, addresses that growth during a Brown Bag Lunch Discussion at noon Friday, February 6, in Fulton Hall Room 130 at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. Aragones speaks on “New Latino Immigrants on Delmarva: Who Are They and Why Are They Coming?” She discusses areas from which Latinos are emigrating and the types of occupations and activities they find on Delmarva. She also speaks about new laws requiring non-U.S. residents to register upon entering the country and how that could affect immigration on the peninsula. The Fulton School of Liberal Arts sponsors the event. Light refreshments will be served. The public is cordially invited.
