R.T. Students Have 100 Percent Pass Rate 

SALISBURY, MD--ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ University Department of Health Sciences May 2001 respiratory therapy students achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the National Board for Respiratory Care’s Certification Examination. The national average pass rate for the Advanced Practitioner Respiratory Therapy examination is 75 percent. In addition, prior to graduation each of the students had achieved certification by the American Heart Association in health care provider CPR, advanced cardiac life support, neonatal resuscitation and pediatric advanced life support. 

The ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Respiratory Therapy Program is directed by Drs. Sidney Schneider and Robert Joyner. 

"We are very proud of the dedicated faculty and students in our Respiratory Therapy Program," said ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Provost David Buchanan. "The outstanding performance of our students on the certification exam serves to validate our belief that ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s Respiratory Therapy Program is among the very best in the country."
