Writers-on-the-Shore present Page Dougherty April 17

SALISBURY, MD---As part of its Writers-on-the-Shore series, the Department of English at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ presents poet Page Dougherty on Thursday, April 17, at 8 p.m. in the Montgomery Room, Commons building.

Dougherty has published a volume of poetry, No One with a Past is Safe (Word Press, 2002). Some of her poems detail the years she lived in West Virginia as a labor organizer among coal miners and their families. Her work has appeared in The Kenyon Review, The Gettysburg Review, Ontario Review, TriQuarterly and other journals. In addition, she is the recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship.
