Humanities Academy
The Humanities Academy prepares high school students for college-level work in the humanities. Learners exercise academic skills such as critical thinking and writing, textual interpretation, and discussion within a community of inquiry.
Campus Tales: Mysterious Ghosts, Crazy Professors and Secret Societies
Do you love tales about mysterious ghosts, inexplicable occurrences, and forbidden secret societies veiled in ancient rituals? Then this academy is for you! Campus Tales will help students understand the connection between creative writing and research, which will prepare them for success in the college classroom and at the workplace. Students in this academy will have the unique and valuable opportunity to conduct research at the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s (ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s) Nabb Center—" an institutional leader in advancing the preservation and understanding of Delmarva’s historical and cultural heritage,” and work under the guidance of the Nabb Center’s expert staff. Throughout the week students will read legends from the Eastern Shore, conduct research at the Nabb Center, and write their own ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ campus stories based on the materials they find. At the end of the week, they will lead their tour of the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ campus during which they will tell their stories to the public.

Philosophy Academy
This academy will include a rigorous seminar-like experience. The students will be introduced to the discipline of Philosophy and they will work to develop their critical thinking skills in preparation for college.

Learning Russian Through Acting Academy
Are you thinking about a career in International Relations, National Security, Diplomacy, Economics, or Linguistics? Are you a creative performer who loves the theater? Then, this academy is for you! This Academy gives students the unique and valuable opportunity to learn Russian through the fun and engaging process of acting. Throughout the week, students will learn and practice Russian words, phrases, and expressions while working on a Russian-language play which they will present at the end of the week. The students will learn a new language in a relaxed, creative, and fun environment and work on their leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills, all of which are crucial to their success in college and the workplace.

World Languages & Cultures Academy
Through an immersion in the French and Spanish languages, this academy encourages students to develop an interest in languages and a curiosity for diverse cultures and people. Each day, they will explore a new theme (food, holidays, fashion, famous people and monuments). Students will engage in hands-on activities such as games, calligraphy, cooking, arts and crafts, and movies. The academy will dedicate 2 days for the Spanish language and 2 days for the French language. On the last day of the academy, the students will share with their families what they have learned.
